In addition to being a very expensive, major repair, it is among the most difficult breakdowns to diagnose as well as being one of the most difficult repairs with the highest likelihood of failing after the repair. They recommend going off a personal recommendation and checking them out with the Better Business Bureau. They recommend avoiding all the national chain stores, large corporate shops and automobile dealerships except in cases where your car is under factory warranty. The best shops have an owner who closely monitors all production. The quality of their workmanship and components will be top bin, and their price will be surprisingly reasonable. This describes Tualatin Transmission PERFECTLY! They have a great reputation, you can talk to the owner in person and the work is exemplary."
